SFYTT cards

Happy Spring Break! LOL!
It's finally spring break here in Edmonton and I'm so looking forward to not having to go anywhere all week! I have a ton of things to do around the house and it will be nice to have the opportunity to do some cleaning and organizing!
Both of my cards today are done using Jen's SFYTT from Saturday.
Did you notice last week that I didn't use my paper piercer? Last time I used it was last Sunday for the Featured Stamper....it's time to bring it out again!
This first card is SU! only.
I used the Curly Label Punch to clip the end of the tab under the image panels....can you see it?
Stamps: Thoughts & Prayers, Essensce of Love; Cardstock: Baja, Choc chip, WW and Parisian Breeze Specialty DP; Inks: Baja, choc chip; Accessories: Beautiful Butterfly Die, Paper piercer, Choc Poly Twill, Curly Label Punch, Dimensionals
Here is my second card for Jen's sketch that uses the Verve set called Petals and Stems.

Stamp a Stack Cards

Happy Sports Day!
Today I am hoping to see Jeff win the Nascar race and the Oiler's win their hockey game! Keep your fingers crossed for them...lol
Yesterday the girls came by and we did a little stamping! I had fun and I'm hoping they did too!
I've got two cards to show you that we did. The first one uses one of my fave sets from SU! called Cheep Talk. We've added some microbeads to the wing on the bird.
I left the sentiment off of my sample but the girls chose one to use on theirs. I showed them how I like to ink up the words in different colours so they gave that a go! It adds so much to a card.
Stamps: Cheep Talk; Cardstock: White, Pacific Point, Summer Sun and Good Morning Sunshine DP; Inks: Choc chip, Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi, Pacific Point; Accessories: Glossy Accents, Microbeads, Oval Nesties
This next card uses some of the super cool Flower Soft! I love this stuff! I think the girls really liked it as well! I was looking for a cardstock that would match one of the colours I owned and the PTI Lavender Moon looked like a good match. Gotta love that!
Stamps: Thoughts & Prayers; Cardstock: PTI dark choc, Lavender moon, White; Inks: Choc chip; Accessories: EK Success Wavy Border Punch, Lavender Moon Ribbon, Flower Soft & Glue

Happy Saturday!

Good Morning!
This afternoon I'm having a Stamp A Stack and I still need to set up for it. Will be working on it after I tidy up my house and clean the bathroom ;)
I'll try to share the cards a little later. For now I'll show you two cards I made yesterday in between prepping for my SAS.
This first card was made for the Limited Supplies Challenge and also Beate's WSC that is being hosted by my Baker's Dozen team member Charmaine! Stop by Charmaine's blog to see the sketch and play along! The LSC was to use only black and white. I panicked a bit at first because black isn't really my thing BUT I found this stash of DP in the drawer....yippee! I decided to use a sentiment from the new Verve set called Miracles Blossom.
Stamps: Miracles Blossom; Cardstock: White, Black and Imaginisce DP; Inks: Black; Accessories: Silver Brads, 1/4" and 1/2" circle punches, Oval nesties, Dimensionals
It's time for another Saturday Sketch from Lauren. Since it's the last Saturday of the month we are re-visiting an old sketch of our choice!
For my card today I've used a new H & M Stamp set called Angelic Moments.
Please keep Lauren in your thoughts today....she had a little surgery yesterday but I'm sure she'll be up and stamping in no time! Sending big hugs your way Lauren!
Stamps: Angelic Moments; Cardstock: Dark Chocolate, Lavender Moon, Shimmery White and PTI pattern paper; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Lavender Moon Ribbon, Scalloped Edge Punch, Stickles, Dimensionals
Here is the sketch I used:
Oh I have some FABULOUS news...
Remember my missing Flight of the Butterfly set that I misplaced MONTHS ago....well I've found it! Yep....now I've got TWO sets....lol...oh well! I'm just happy to report I wasn't losing my mind and didn't throw it in the trash :)
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

Friends and Flowers

Good Friday Morning!
I've been stamping like MAD the past couple of days! Tomorrow I have a Stamp A Stack to prep for...I'm always running behind when it comes to getting it all together BUT on the day of the class...I'm ready!
I did work on all the Viva La Verve Challenges on SCS but didn't want to overload you with too many things so if you are interested you can look in my gallery here.
So many beautiful cards have been made using the Fifth Ave Floral from SU! and Friends 'til the End by PTI.
I don't own any of those stamps...YET ;) but I do own this one from Stampendous!
The sentiment comes from Verve's new set called Floral Symphony.
Stamps: Stampendous, Verve Floral Symphony; Cardstock: Baja, WW, Kiwi, Tangerine, Black; Inks: Baja, Tangerine, Kiwi; Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Flower Trio punch, Curvy Rectangle Nesties, Pearls, Dimensionals
Here is another card made with the same Stampendous flower. I LOVE this flower and can't believe I haven't inked it up until now....lol The centers have been dotted with Stardust Stickles.
This card was actually CASED from Harriet HERE.
Stamps: Stampendous, Verve Miracles Blossom; Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, Black, WW and Haiku DP; Inks: Tangerine Tango, Black; Accessories: Eyelet Border punch, Stardust Stickles
My card for the MFT sketch challenge this week.

Fabulous Friends Challenge

Happy Thursday!
Today I have some SU! cards to share with you all!
Last Saturday my two Dirty Dozen buddies and I decided to set aside one of the projects from the SU! Regional and see what we could do with it at home. We were allowed to ADD to it but we had to use the supplies given....I hope I got that right....lol
This is a picture I snapped of the worksheet that was given with it.
I can't wait to see what Christine and Laura have each done with their cards!
Now here is my stepped up version! I didn't change it all that much but did add a couple of extra layers and more of those microbeads for the flower centers. I even watercoloured my image...and YES Laura...I used the ink from the inside of the lid...go ahead...gasp! haha!
Stamps: Soft Summer; Cardstock: Confetti Cream, Ruby Red, Old Olive,WC paper and Haiku dp; Inks: Black Stazon, Old Olive, More Mustard, Ruby Red; Accessories: Aqua painter, Choc Ribbon, Crystal Effects, Microbeads
Here's a close up of the front:
Yesterday's SCS Sketch Challenge was one with MANY layers....can you see me smiling??? LOL!
The Parisian Breeze Specialty DP is beautiful and it was screaming at me to use it once again! I LOVE cutting the butterflies out with it...it's so sturdy for them!
Stamps: Simple Friendship; Cardstock: Choc chip, Baja breeze, WW and Parisian Breeze Specialty DP; Inks: Choc chip; Accessories: SU! Beautiful Butterfly Die, 5/16" Brads, Button Bouquet, Linen Thread, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today!

It's a bunny day!

Happy Wednesday!
Last weekend Jen posted her SFYTT but I didn't have time to play until Monday and then I forgot to post it...ack! I am in need of an Easter card for my nephews and I thought they might like a card that isn't so frou frouy this year....lol This one is ADORABLE though, right?
I've used a set from Taylored Expressions called Sweet Spring.
Stamps: Sweet Spring; Cardstock: Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, Kiwi Kiss, Choice Bright White and Good Morning Sunshine DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Black pen, Buttons, Linen Thread, Paper snips, Oval punch, Designer Label punch, Dimensionals
Since it's Wednesday....
It's time for another All That Scraps Challenge! This week Lesa challenged us to make a white on white card with only the focal image having any colour. I found this extremely challenging! I like
a lot of layers and designer paper on my cards....lol
I used the cute set called Spring Things by CC Designs.
Stop by the ATS blog today to see what the other girls have created for this ATSDTC41.
Stamps: Spring Things; Cardstock: PTI white; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Swiss Dots embossing folder, Oval punch, Long Curvy Rectangle nesties, Silver Brads, Eyelet border punch, Dimensionals, White gel pen

You're a Good Egg! CC211 cards

Good Afternoon!
This is my second post for today so be sure to scroll down to read my first one :)
My fellow TE design team member is today's CC211 hostess....Jodi Collins!
I was excited to see it was Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss and Pretty in Pink! I knew right away it would go wonderfully with the Easter Key Ingredients designer papers from Taylored Expressions.
I stamped the image in Memento black ink on Choice Bright White CS from the TE store and then coloured it in with my Copic markers. I love this CS for stamping and colouring with copics as there is no bleeding around the edges.
Stamps: Sweet Spring; Cardstock: Baja, Kiwi, Pretty in Pink, Choice Bright White and DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Eyelet border punch, Kiwi Satin ribbon, Oval Nesties, Dew Drop, Dimensionals
You know I can't just stop at ONE card a day ;)
So I pulled out a set I love to use from Stampin' Up! called Trendy Trees. I thought it would be fun to use different colours for the tree tops. I'd gotten that idea from Renee :)
This is almost a SU! only card except I decided to use the EK Success punch instead. I'd already used the Eyelet border punch...up there...lol
Stamps: Trendy Trees; Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss, WW and Good Morning Sunshine DP; Inks: Choc chip, Kiwi kiss, Baja breeze, Pretty in pink; Accessories: SAMJ, Kiwi ribbon, Spiral punch, EK success wavy border punch, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by!

Take Joy in the Little Things

Good Morning!
Yesterday was another GREAT mail day:)
I received my Taylored Expressions Stamps for next month and also my All That Scraps Stamps for next month. Then I received my Verve stamps that I won from the Mojo sketch a few weeks back. I can't wait to get inky with all the stamps!!!
Before the mail came though....I had worked on Julee's Mojo79 sketch.
At Regionals last weekend they had some really cool projects with microbeads and it inspired me to pull mine out!
Here's a close up of the microbeads:
Stamps: Petals & Stems; Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Pumpkin Pie, WW and Sweet Always DP; Inks: Certainly Celery, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Pumpkin Pie, Black; Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Pretty in Pink Ribbon, Crystal Effects, Microbeads, Dimensionals
Last night while waiting for my last load of laudry to dry I whipped up another Verve card for the Mojo79 sketch. Julee's new stamps are sooooooo awesome! Again I added microbeads to the flower centers.
Stamps: Floral Symphony; Cardstock: Barely Banana, Blush Blossom, WW and Making Memories DP; Ink: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, May Arts Ribbon, EK Success Wavy Border punch, Martha Butterfly Punches, Kaiser Pearls, Dimensionals

Did you all see who the Featured Stamper was on SCS yesterday?!
It was BEATE!
When I found THIS CARD in her gallery I knew that would be my choice! Afterall it used Cheep Talk ;)
She makes so many SU! only cards that I wanted to go that route as well.
I used the same stamp set and basic layout but changed the DP, Cardstock and Embellishments.
It snowed here AGAIN yesterday and it's sooooooooooo depressing....I want SPRING! Oh well, in the meantime I'll stay indoors and STAMP!
Thanks for stopping by today!!

Edmonton Regionals

Hey all!
Oh my gosh....did I have a BLAST today at Regionals with Laura and Christine! They are so much fun! I felt like we have all known one another forever!!! We laughed and laughed and laughed!
It's fun to find out little things about people....
Like Laura is very meticulous with her stamp pads....she just about fell off her chair when Christine and I showed her our puddles of ink on the inside of our stamp pad lids! Well that's how we watercolour we told her...and those little bits of string that hang off the ink pad...I'm sure she would have trimmed those off my pads if she had snips ;)

Christine still likes to trim her stamps(even though they are die cut) and photocopies the label sheet so she knows how to put the stamps back in the package to fit so perfectly!

Me....there's nothing to tell....hahahahha!

We ran into some fellow bloggers and SCS'ers which was really cool!

Apparently I look exactly like my avatar....lol

Here's a few pictures of us girls!

eta: snagged this better pic from Christine...lol

Just Peachy!

Good Friday Morning!
I'm so excited to be playing along in the DD/DDA monthly challenge! This month Holly aka Toy was our hostess and she chose something really fun!
We are doing a Featured Stamper Challenge!
Who is the FS you ask? Well we are all casing ourselves....lol
This is what she told us:
Here is the catch... just like the regular featured stamper challenge, you are going to change at least three things on your card (i.e. different colors, different stamps, different embellishments), but we want to be able to see the subtle changes.
Challenge Focus: A CASE of one of your oldest cards.
Required Element: Change at least three things on your card (subtle).
Restricted Element: None! The sky is the limit on this one!!
Here is my new card and click HERE to see my OLD card on the FIRST page of my gallery!
Stamps: Unknown Flower, Small Sayings; Cardstock: Regal Rose, So Saffron, Gina K White and Georgia Peach DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, EK Success Wavy Border punch, Silver Brads, Rectangle Nesties, Regal Rose Ribbon, Dimensionals, Glossy Accents
I used the same stamps and basic layout but up updated the card a bit by:
- Using Nesties
-Curvy Edge Punch
-Silver Brads instead of Eyelets
-Wide Grosgrain Ribbon
-Glossy Accents
**********************************
Since I had the Georgia Peach DP out on my table I thought it would be fun to make another card with it. Luckily I found Cindy's MFTSC73 posted and got to work! I used the MFT set called Rain or Shine and I actually paper pieced! Remember I'm not great with paper snips...it's usually ME getting snipped...lol
Stamps: Rain or Shine; Cardstock: Regal Rose, So Saffron, GinaK White and Georgia Peach dp; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Circle Nesties, Glossy Accents, Paper piercer, Dimensionals
Today is THE day that Taylored Expressions is starting the new monthly KI kits subscriptions!
